I have to say I'm impressed with the new squadron. We were asked to do a several hour long combat patrol to the north of Karayulgan, and we decided to use the foothills as cover and vantage point to aid us. Quiet at first, but eventually we received contacts. Optical enhancement revealed a small herd of Gug engaged at close quarters with some Migou Locusts.
We decided to take up positions and wait the situation out. Despite having a clear manoueverability and speed advantage the Migou were taking more damage than they were dealing out. Something was holding them back. Eventually, their bizarre tactics lead to them being crushed by the Gug.
At this time we opened fire, first with an artillery salvo, but as others closed the gap they joined in the fire.
Gug are mean and ugly, but they had no chance at the range we engaged them.
We inspected the site of the struggle, we found one of the Locusts was fitted with a gigantic net deployment unit. It seems that for some reason the Migou were trying to capture a Gug. I dread to think what things they would do with such a beast in captivity.
